Institute for Pastoral & Congregational Thriving

The Institute for Pastoral and Congregational Thriving is made possible through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Lilly is especially interested in creative efforts to strengthen the thriving of church leaders, to deepen congregational engagement and impact, and to develop engaging preaching among faith leaders.

The Thriving Institute has three aims:

  1. Support clergy in thriving as leaders in congregational settings
  2. Develop women preachers across the Pacific Northwest and beyond
  3. Help churches recognize and adapt to their changing social and cultural contexts

Our Vision

Since 2017, the Institute for Pastoral and Congregational Thriving, supported by the Lilly Endowment, Inc., aims to foster thriving communities of faith by nurturing clergy and empowering congregations. Through mentorship, retreats and tailored certificate programs, we equip clergy to minister effectively and assist congregations in revitalizing their spiritual impact within their contexts
