Sarah Hanna, MA
Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication
The university welcomed Sarah Hanna as a visiting assistant professor of communication in 2024. She worked the previous six years as a standards and services coordinator for the Faria Education Group, responsible for collaborating with hundreds of schools from around the world on best-practice approaches to curriculum and learning management.
In addition, since 2020, she’s worked with the Vibrancy Project, researching topics and creating courses for teen girls and adult women around communication. Sarah also gained experience as an education consultant for Rubicon International from 2007 to 2018, and as an adjunct instructor at Oregon State University (2005, 2009-10), Linn-Benton Community College (2003-06) and Chemeketa Community College (2005-08).
She earned a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Oregon State University in 2009, with interpersonal comm as her major area of study, and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from OSU in 2001.
Sarah lives in Tigard with her husband Dave and their daughters Charlotte, Lorraine and Adrienne, and attends B4 Church. She enjoys nature walks, concerts and theater, camping, painting, sewing, flower farms, and all things Norwegian.
