The Bachelor of General Studies degree at George Fox University is designed for you to choose what you want to study based on your interests and future goals.
This degree lets you mix and match subject areas instead of picking just one major. You’ll choose two or three focus areas from any of our other accelerated online degree majors (except for education) to combine:
Want to support people navigating both physical and mental healthcare? Combine healthcare administration and psychology & mental health studies. Or use data-driven insights to lead by putting together data analytics and management & organizational leadership.
Don’t worry, you won’t be building this degree plan alone – our helpful advisors will help you determine what makes sense for your career and goals.
Since you have the flexibility to combine majors in different ways, it’s easy to switch paths if you start in one direction and later change your mind. Best of all, you can do it without adding time to finish your degree, saving you both time and money.
At the end of the program, you’ll take a capstone course in which you’ll work on a final project that shows everything you’ve learned. It’s your chance to bring all your learning together and get ready for your next step.

Credit Requirements
62 semester credit hours must be completed to enter a major. To graduate with a bachelor's degree, you must complete a total of 120 semester credit hours as follows:

Format
- The general studies major is offered 100% online
- You will attend a synchronous cohort launch at the beginning of the major via Zoom, followed by 16 months of online coursework in a cohort of peers
- All major courses are offered one at a time in a sequential, condensed, accelerated format
