Fox Alert - Emergency Broadcast Communication Messages

In case of emergency or crisis situations that require immediate notification, George Fox officials will deploy the Fox Alert system, which sends email and text messages to students, faculty and staff. Fox Alert is intended to communicate pertinent information and, when appropriate, provide directions to those in the affected area(s).

PLEASE NOTE: The Fox Alert system broadcasts messages to the email addresses and mobile phone numbers students, faculty and staff have provided the University. It is important that the information is accurate and up to date. Students, faculty and staff can change or update their contact information by logging into the portal at MyGeorgeFox and following the instructions.

Signing Up for FoxAlert

(Follow these instructions to update if your mobile number changes)

• Log in to your MyGeorgeFox account
• Click on the Profile Tile
• Click on Contact Details
• Add or adjust your cell phone number
• On the Phone Type pick list you must choose one of the Cell options.
• Type in your phone number and click Preferred to receive text alerts
  Click Save.
• This will add your phone to the text messaging on Foxalert.

Tests are conducted every semester. If you have provided contact information and have notreceived a text alert please make sure your cell phone is listed as a primary contact number in your personal information on MyGeorgeFox.
