George Fox University’s College of Business receives 10-year re-accreditation from international body
January 23, 2024
NEWBERG, Ore. – George Fox University’s College of Business received its 10-year re-accreditation from the ACPSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs). The rigorous accreditation process focuses on teaching excellence and academic rigor. More than 1,200 programs in more than 60 countries hold ACBSP accreditation.
The process for accreditation involves multiple years of data collection to ensure program quality, reporting and assessment every three years in the interim, and continuous improvement and strategic planning.
A team of three accreditors spent three days with faculty assessing all aspects of the programs in the College of Business. The ACBSP’s Board of Commissioners gave an excellent review without any notes or suggestions for needed improvements. The College of Business’ undergraduate programs – as well as its MBA and DBA programs – are accredited by the ACBSP.
This re-accreditation is testimony to the high-quality Christ-centered work of Dean Debby Thomas and the dedicated faculty and staff in the College of Business. They bring decades of industry experience – as small business owners, financial planners, senior vice presidents, wealth managers, management consultants, certified public accountants, and senior directors of marketing, among many other experiences – into the classroom.
At the core of their teaching is the belief that people come before profit, that ethics and integrity are paramount in the world of business, and that each student who crosses their path is worth investing in.
George Fox University is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best National University” and by The Wall Street Journal as the top private college in Oregon. More than 4,000 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Oregon, and at teaching centers in Portland and Redmond, Oregon. George Fox offers more than 60 academic programs at the undergraduate level, degree-completion programs for working adults, and 20 masters and doctoral degrees.
