Jason Brumitt

Jason Brumitt is a professor of physical therapy and serves as director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He holds a PhD in orthopaedic and sports science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, a master of science degree in physical therapy from Pacific University, and a bachelor of science in business administration from Southern Oregon State College.

His primary teaching responsibilities are cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutics, pathophysiology, health and wellness, and research. His clinical background is orthopedic and sports physical therapy, and he has also provided therapy services in acute and skilled nursing settings.

Brumitt's areas of research are sports injury epidemiology, blood flow restriction training, and health promotion in patients with chronic disease or injury. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, three books, and several textbook chapters.
